Hi, Yellow Jackets.

BW Dance Marathon is a student-run fundraiser where we dance, play games, and stay on our feet for hours to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF).

BW has danced for EGPAF since 2001, making ours the longest-running Dance Marathon supporting the foundation, with more than $500,000 raised so far. BWDM 2027 is our 26th year.

Every spring, students pack the gym for music, themed hours, performances, and a final reveal of how much we raised together. You don't need rhythm or a team to join. Bring comfortable shoes and a reason to show up. We'll help with the rest.

Why should I dance?

We're closer than ever to ending pediatric AIDS, and Dance Marathon is your way to help finish the job.

In 1986, Elizabeth Glaser learned she had HIV and had unknowingly passed it to her kids, Ariel and Jake. After losing Ariel in 1988, Elizabeth refused to accept that this was just how things had to be. With two friends, she started what became the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF).

Today, EGPAF's is working to finish what Elizabeth started.

How it works

  1. Register

Sign up as a dancer when registration opens in 2027. Join a team or go solo.

  2. Build your page

Add a photo and a line about why you're dancing. Your page takes donations for you.

  3. Fundraise

Share your link with family, friends, and anyone who's ever said "let me know if you need anything."

  4. Dance

Show up, stay standing, and celebrate the total with everyone who made it happen.

Do I have to know how to dance?

Not at all. The goal is to stay on your feet and have fun. There will be games, performances, and a line dance you'll learn that night.

Who can participate?

Any Baldwin Wallace student can register as a dancer. Faculty, staff, alumni, and families can support by donating or volunteering.

Is there a fundraising minimum?

Fundraising details will be shared when registration opens. Every dancer gets a personal page and tips to help them reach their goal.

Where does the money go?

Funds raised support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's work to prevent new HIV infections in children and to care for kids, youth, and families living with HIV.

Can I donate if I'm not dancing?

Yes. You can give to the event as a whole right now, or find a dancer's page once registration opens and support them directly.
