I am absolutely and positively HYPED to be taking part in my last Dance Marathon here at UCLA. We get to take a literal stand by dancing the night away to help fight the stigma and fund research surrounding pediatric HIV/AIDS. All of our money raised goes to our three beneficiaries: Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (global impact), the UCLA AIDS Institute (research impact), and the Laurel Foundation (local impact) where we get to work alongside the most amazing children. If you are asking yourself "Can my donation even make a difference?" the answer is 1000% YES. Just $12 can provide a month of treatment for a child living with HIV. That's like two matchas right there. $70 can provide treatment that can help prevent transmission of HIV from a mother to a child. That's only one week without matcha. With these treatments we can reduce the transmission rate to LESS THAN 1%!!!
