The Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA (PAC) presents Dance Marathon 2021! Join our fight virtually on Saturday, April 17th, as we raise awareness and funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Laurel Foundation, and the UCLA AIDS Institute.
We look forward to another monumental weekend of campus engagement, entertainment, and education, We are committed to upholding the health and safety of community members amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. Due to the uncertainty of the coming months, we have not made any formal decisions concerning the format of Dance Marathon 2021. We anticipate that the event will be primarily virtual. If the state of the pandemic improves by April, we hope to incorporate an in-person component that upholds the standards for social distancing, group size, and face coverings. Pending additional instructions from UCLa and recognized public health entities, our leadership team will develop a plan for Dance Marathon and will update this webpage as soon as possible.
Since 2002, more than 7,000 UCLA students have participated in Dance Marathon, staying on their feet for the entire 26-hour event and taking a literal stand in the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS. In 2020, we had hundreds of participants tune in to our virtual Dance Marathon. This year, Dancers will once again have the opportunity to participate in a virtual (or possibly hybrid) Dance Marathon where they can learn about our cause, interact with our beneficiaries, and take part in a life-changing event from anywhere in the world!
As a Dancer, you will commit to fundraising $120 for our beneficiaries. Aside from giving you access to Dance Marathon, the $120 you fundraise may come with additional perks such as goodies from corporate sponsors or a Dancer t-shirt. We have 8 Dancer Captains designated to assist dancers with fundraising and to guide an support you every step of the way!
