I'm fundraising for an AIDS-free generation!

I'm excited to be apart of the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA this year! During our Dance Marathon in March, we take a literal stand for 12+ hours against pediatric AIDS by dancing and staying on our feet. 

This cause is close to my heart as my uncle lived with HIV and my family felt its impact. He had hemophilia, a bleeding disorder that prevents blood from clotting properly, and acquired HIV through factor VIII. Seeing the impact it had on him and my family reminds me why awareness, support, and removing the stigma around it is so important. 

As a club, we take a stand against the stigma surrounding HIV, with our proceeds going to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the UCLA AIDS Institute, the Laurel Foundation, and the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA's direct services.

I’ll keep posting updates about Dance Marathon and parts of my college life up until then! :)

I was able to go on the field and photograph a football game for the first time! It was an amazing experience, and I got to do it with some good friends of mine :) Looking forward to doing more in the future!

I went to Disneyland with my girlfriend, Allison! We had an amazing time and were able to ride most of the rides we wanted :) Our favorite ride was Cars

I went to Universal Studios with my friends! We were able to go on some rides, go through their haunted houses, and have a great time with each other

Ultimate Frisbee 10-16

I decided to give Ultimate Frisbee a shot in our Intramural League! We were down 2-6 at halftime, and came back to win 8-7

Dear Brandon, Just wanted to share my love and support. I am a carrier of hemophilia, and went through an IVF journey just to see that the road would end with me. I am the daughter of a parent of HIV, and was fortunate enough to not contract HIV when I was born. It is not easy to acknowledge hard things, let alone do something about them. It makes me so happy to see you and our family support the bleeding/HIV/AIDS community. I know dad would have loved that, and to be remembered. Thank you for all that you are doing! Love you.
