This year, I’m dancing in UCLA’s Dance Marathon with the Pediatric AIDS Coalition — which means I’ll be on my feet all night for something much bigger than just a fun event. We dance to stand in solidarity with children and families affected by HIV/AIDS, and we fundraise to support real, life-changing programs.

The money raised goes toward organizations like the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the UCLA AIDS Institute, the Laurel Foundation, and PAC’s own direct service efforts. These groups work to provide prevention, treatment, research, and community support for children and families who need it most.

Being part of this has become really personal for me. It’s shown me how much progress has been made — but also how much work is still left to do, especially when it comes to reducing stigma and making sure kids everywhere have access to care.
