I'm fundraising for an AIDS-free generation!

Hey everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Alongside my classes and other involvement at UCLA, I'm extremely excited to announce that I have joined PAC! (UCLA's Pediatric Aids Coalition)
I’m also excited to be taking part in this year’s Dance Marathon at UCLA. We'll take a physical 10-hour "stand" against pediatric AIDS by staying on our feet and dancing the night away. More importantly, we help reduce the stigma surrounding HIV and support HIV-affected children and families worldwide by donating our proceeds to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the UCLA AIDS Institute, the Laurel Foundation, and the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA's direct services.
Funding is so important for PAC, as treatment already exists for HIV and AIDs, and all that is still needed is funding. 
Unfortunately, 168 babies are born with HIV every day, because of a lack of resources and stigma. And transmission of HIV from a pregnant mother to her child decreases from a 30% chance to less than 1% with treatment. 

So it's super important that I reach my goal in order to fully take a stand against pediatric AIDS, because within my lifetime, we can actually have an AIDS-free generation.

1 month of HIV treatment for a child costs $12

1 year of HIV treatment for a pregnant mother costs $70 and will prevent the transmission of HIV.
