I’m excited to be taking part in this year’s Dance Marathon at UCLA! As a new member, it's been shocking to learn that even though it takes only $70 to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child, over 150 babies are born with HIV every day due to lack of resources and stigma. Fortunately, as a part of the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA, we believe in a future without pediatric AIDS!
On March 7th, the UCLA community will take a stand against pediatric AIDS by staying on our feet and dancing the night away! More importantly, we will help reduce the stigma around HIV, and support HIV-affected children and families by donating our proceeds to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (our global impact), the UCLA AIDS Institute (our research impact), and the Laurel Foundation (our local impact).
