Closing My UCLA Chapter With Purpose

I’ve now been a member of PAC for my entire time at UCLA. I first joined without knowing much about the cause, but quickly became passionate about the fight and about putting on an event that truly makes a difference. As I close out my chapter at UCLA, I’m hoping you’ll help me beat my past goals and raise more than we ever have.

I’m genuinely excited to be part of this year’s Dance Marathon. As one of the co-directors of the Entertainment Committee, I’ve put in countless hours to create an event that will keep people on their feet as we take a literal stand against pediatric AIDS.

To give you a bit more context, PAC’s mission is to reduce the stigma surrounding HIV and support HIV-affected children and families worldwide. All proceeds go directly to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the UCLA AIDS Institute, the Laurel Foundation, and the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA for direct services.

The treatment exists - what’s missing are the resources to make it accessible for everyone who needs it. With recent budget cuts and policy changes, our work is more important than ever.

So I’m asking: will you help me reach my goal and take a stand against pediatric AIDS one last time?
